LECOM at Elmwood Gardens

This I was told was to be one of the top recommended places in Erie I have never had a worse experience at any facility and being in this field I understand staffing and what not but when your notified that your love ones medicare dates are up with in 10 hours and no game plan because you weren't informed in time. Also they send my loved one out for testing and never had the results till I had to call for them and get them after 72 hours and to no surprise she was shipped to the hospital with in 10 minutes of hearing the results. There is so much to report but I can tell you this don't send anyone there if you want them to come out alive if they cant help themselves.

My first time at a rehab center. I had wonderful care givers met great people. I would recommend. It is an older facility needs some sprucing up but as far as the employees they were wonderful.

My neighbor stayed over Christmas and it was terrible the food has small portions and she was still hungry and she is an diabetic and her sugar went down she rang for the nurse and finally they gave her cookies. When she was there before she loved it that's why she went back there not anymore.

I have a friend at this facility in erie he has been there for 2weeks staff very friendly and rooms are clean.but what I do have a problem with is communication I have placed phone calls and left messages for social worker to get in contact with me and no return phone calls as we live in ny and cannot comute to erie everyday

My aunt is here. This week her roommate tested positive for covid. They would not remove her from the room for 6 days when we had to get the Erie County Health Dept. involved. Could have turned into a deadly situation. Do not let your loved ones live here.
