I recently spent time at landmark, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care I received. From the moment I arrived, the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely compassionate. They took the time to address my concerns, explain my treatment plan, and ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. The nurses and case managers were especially supportive, coordinating my care and keeping me informed about my progress. The therapy team was also fantastic—they encouraged me to push myself while respecting my limitations, which helped me make steady improvements. The facility itself was clean and well-organized, and I appreciated the efforts to make the environment feel as welcoming as possible for patients and families. I have been a patient at Landmark for nearly 4 weeks. I am paralyzed and bedridden so if nursing does not answer my call light I am helpless without anyone to assist.For the most time staff is great and helpful but when they operate short staffed NO ONE Helps. Also very poor communication between patient/Doctor and staff. Can’t get a handle on my own treatment and I like to know how I’m doing and progressing. Landmark is clean and (most) staff are helpful but I want to to heal and go home but with the lack of coordination and communication I feel it’s going to take longer. Doctors and staff please hear me, “I am the patient . Work with me and realize that everyone is different and sometimes things don’t work the way the book says “

An LTAC is a special type of hospital for people who need extra time and care to recover from serious illnesses or injuries. Your condition has stabilized but you continue to have medical needs that can only be provided in a setting with nursing and medical oversight similar to that of the acute hospital. It’s for patients who aren’t ready to go home, to an inpatient rehab center (IRF) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) because they still need advanced medical treatments, machines to help them breathe, or help with wounds. Those are things that IRF, SNF and home health cannot provide. The goal of an LTAC is to help you get stronger and healthier so you can eventually move to the next stage of recovery, whether that’s going home, SNF or IRF. I can't express enough how grateful I am for the outstanding care my aunt received at this hospital. Her journey from being on a ventilator to finally being weaned off it was nothing short of miraculous, all thanks to the incredible team here. The doctors, nurses, and support staff demonstrated unwavering dedication and expertise throughout her time at LTAC. Their constant monitoring, compassion, and encouragement made her feel safe and confident during this challenging period. She was not just a patient; she was a person, and they treated her with the utmost respect and kindness. The attention to detail in her treatment plan was impressive, and the team worked tirelessly to ensure she received the best possible care. 56 years ago we were married and Landmark is helping us enjoy more! After 3 months in and out of hospitals and no hope in site, we were told Hospice was our only option. We opted for Landmark Hospital and it was the best decision we ever made. That was 2-1/2 months ago and after 1-1/2 weeks in Landmark hospital with medication and caring service, she was strong and alert enough to restart the Chemo treatments. She is on the road to remission and a better future Landmark went beyond just a rehab situation. Caring service and great management from Doctors, nurses and coordinating with other hospitals .
