The wait to be seen was about a month out. I thought "oh nice hopefully it's worth the wait." Being new to the area.. Well, that was not the case at all.. The Dentist Dr. Mackey himself was the worst of the awful visit. All about the money, could not stay on task very fidgety, wasn't concerned with infections in the mouth, would not listen to us as patients, his own teeth were yellow and gross.. I usually don't post reviews but with the prices he is asking it should be the Taj Majal of an experience.

Lamar Family Dental provides the absolute BEST dental care. The services and cleaning I recieved were the best I have ever had. The procedure was virtually pain free, and that means a lot. Professional and qualified staff, very much appreciated.

Good dental staff but bad estimates, I was quoted an estimate of 160$ for my dental work. After the visit I was presented with a bill of over 400$. I finally paid it off just now and I had the work done 2 years ago, thanks for the "estimate"!

Called this morning to try to get my dad in for a new patient walk in. After she stated new patient visits are available... she then requested how we would be paying!?!? Ummm hello someone needs to take a training in customer service and admin training. When you take a call first question should’ve been what will we be seeing you for today!? Following up with...who is your insurance provider or go over office guidelines of acceptable payments!!! After I told her we would be paying CASH since that’s seems to be her only concern her response was ohh ok she tried to correct her rudeness by saying “I couldn’t hear you!?!” Just left a complete bad taste and it’s sad with this being such a rural area you figured their personal skills would be so much better.

I’ve been coast to coast and seen the good-bad-and-ugly of dental work. Dr. Mackey is a rare gem found in rural America! He adds an art to the profession and eased my anxiety without effort. Well done, sir, well done.
