This place needs to be very well regulated. Residents are being terribly neglected. Employees aren't bathing patients as scheduled -skipping baths so that the residents are only bathed ONCE a week. Patients who need assistance getting around the property are being left in the same chair, in rooms all by themselves, all day long, even when their feet are supposed to be elevated part of the day per the attending doctor. They're left alone, immobile, and their feet and ankles are painful and swollen at the end of the day, when an employee finally comes to help them get in bed. Employees throw sheets over the bed ridden resident's faces and heads when they're changing sheets and scratch their faces when they pull the sheets back off the residents' heads! Nice home. Mediocre staff. Every time I come visit my mother in the afternoon her bedding is always dry but severely stained. They need a better detergent. Crumbs and food are always left on her clothing as well as in the bed and lunch trays are left in her room until dinner. No one ever puts her night gown on and helps her to the toilet until the next shift comes in. They leave a diaper on her because it’s easier for them than constantly taking her to the restroom. Especially on weekdays. A few of her items are coming up missing as well. Ready to take her out of here.

I had a friend who was there an yes he was difficult to deal with an had also been in a Rehab facility 2 months before being placed there . An was also difficult to deal with at the Rehab center but was well taking care of. At this Facility was definitely not taken care of I visited him in he's short stay an noticed a strong smell of urine each time I visited. Trash on the floor in the same gown an not shaved in two weeks. I could say more but will hold my tongue. I realize it's a difficult job an you deal with a lot. But that's what your payed to do. Like I said he was difficult but when you been thru what he has an basically bed ridden with very little movement because of a stroke. It's easy to see he's demeanor. My Mom has had an amazing recovery and we owe it to the Meadows staff. Excellent care and wonderful people.
