I absolutely love the staff at Lakes Dermatology! I had a couple areas of Melanoma and they were amazing at removing them and following up. I also had a basal cell spot near my eye. It was removed with Moh's surgery and you can't even see the scar. Dr. Ahmed has some great surgical skills! Beth Boyum makes all the follow up appointments more comfortable with her joyful presence and wisdom. She answers every question (I've had many!) and takes time to truly listen before speaking. It's a wonderful place to go for your Dermatology needs! 💕

Very nice office, very clean, and nice receptionists. For a first timer getting a mole removed, I was very nervous, and the doctor walked me through it to an extent. She was very friendly, but quick. She made it seem like getting the mole removed that day was the only option so I did it, and it went okay. It just felt a little rushed. I would like to point something out, though - I was not aware there would be a transcriber person as well as someone training in the room with me, and as I got the mole removed in a private spot I felt very exposed. I think it would be a good idea to let patients know that it won’t be just the doctor in the room as that caused some unnecessary anxiety for me. I fully respect training and the transcriber for legal purposes, I just wasn’t prepared for it to be

My family has seen Dr Gehrig for derm appointments, and most recently Joy was the aesthetician for both myself and my daughter. They are both a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5. I can't say enough good about them. They are very well informed, professional, and friendly. They answered all of our questions and made our visits very comfortable. They couldn't have been more pleasant. Both Dr Gehrig and Joy are gems. Lakes is lucky to have them both.

My husband and I have been Dr Ahmed's patients for several years and are grateful for her care. I've seen nearly every provider and have been happy with them all. A neurologist and vestibular physical therapist couldn't find the cause of debilitating dizziness I experienced for 9 months. I mentioned at my dermo appointment that my hair was thinning; blood tests they did showed my thyroid needed a boost. With a little medication I've been free from dizzy episodes for 2 years. I so appreciate this dermatology practice!

I highly recommend Lakes Dermatology in Burnsville. Everyone made my appointment feel like I was hanging out with friends yet they were extremely professional. Dr. Boyum is punctual, friendly, and very knowledgeable and had a wonderful way of putting you at ease!
