Lake Urgent Care - Denham Springs

Good overall experience for throughput and staff. Surprised that there was 0 physical contact by “doctor” for evaluation when complaint was shoulder and arm pain (not counting ekg). Based on a couple of previous episodes a good while back, I requested muscle relaxer and something other than otc for severe pain. I am not a recreational drug seeker and had neither available at home. Got Rx for muscle relaxer, which is appreciated and is helping, but was told she couldn’t order anything for the pain. I took that to mean wouldn’t. But, after reviewing visit summary realized it was an np and not md staffing. Thinking now maybe she literally couldn’t prescribe.for pain. Basically still in moderate pain but improved by muscle relaxer and limited movement I did get a sling also and proper fitti

I had an appointment today to see a “doctor” if you want to call him that. The experience from the first step (checking into) , to the last step, me seeing this guy who calls himself a doctor. First off, the receptionist was rude from the jump. She asked me if I was checking in, and what was I being seen for. I told her I had shingles, and from that point on, she was rude. She asked for my insurance card, and I told her it was on my phone because it was a virtual card. She didn’t want to look at it from my phone so she tried to look it up, and she was unable to do so. She asked for the number and I gave it to her, and she still said it wasn’t working, so I offered to email her the card because she acted like she didn’t want to be anywhere near me because I had shingles, she proceeded to to

Very good experience From Reception to the nurse and the PA. Would definitely come back there if necessary. The only comment further that I would make is the facility is getting very aged, and could use refurbishing.

Do not recommend. I went here in extreme pain and let’s start by the poor hospitality. Everyone looked at me as if I was crazy for coming in. The physicians don’t help in the order you come in. I had to wait while I heard the man who came well after me get serviced. The physician even scolded me that it’s too soon to test as if I can provided a flu test on myself. She asked me what did I want to do and I had to remind her I came here to you all for help. She gave me some cold medicine prescription. Due to her lack of care I went on a it’s days of pain, went to another urgent care where they showed true care. They listened to me and provided services accordingly. I will not be back to this Denham springs location it may just be a family friend location.

Their team provided Excellent and quick care. The best place to go when you arent feeling well and cannot get to your primary care. They are very caring.
