Lake Murray Animal Hospital

Dr. Shepherd is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever worked with. I have worked with quite a few as my career involved government animal control. She does not over vet. She does not under vet, she exemplifies what it means to do that for a living. She is knowledgeable and respectful. She listens to the client and the patient. I cannot say enough about this woman and her team. We will keep her as long as she will have us and she will always be the person to treat our pets. Dr. Shepherd, we appreciate you so much. I trapped two feral kittens in the woods near my home. Lake Murray Animal Hospital worked the kittens into their schedule the next day. They examined them, gave them rabies shots and spayed them. They took the time to explain to me how to care for two very wild kittens.

I was very happy with our first visit to Lake Murray Animal Hospital. Sara Tanner and her staff were amazing. My German Shepherd wasn’t feeling great but they took great care of her and they were patient and attentive. The place was very clean and it smelled pleasant in every room you went to. My dog was comfortable enough there that she laid comfortably in the room while we waited.

We arrived 10 minutes early and were seen 5 minutes later. Doctor and staff were very informative and playful with my dog. For the care needed and time we were there I felt the bill was over priced. Due to the speedy process and kind staff we will come back if needed and recommend.

Everyone was meticulous, professional, and willing to answer any/all questions I had as a new pet owner. They gave positive feedback when appropriate and detailed instructions concerning followup appointments/treatment. Overall, it was a "painless" experience for both me and my dog.
