Lake Eye Associates - The Villages

Several years ago I changed to Lake Eye after bad experiences at another practice. Best decision i ever made! At my recent visit I was still noticing.the differences: Lake Eye is like a breath of fresh air. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and quiet. The staff is extremely well-trained, professional, friendly, and polite. This includes everyone from the check-in desk, to the assistants, and the medical staff. As a patient I feel they all cover the details and want to deliver the best care for each patient. You may think this is a fake review, but I assure you it is not. I could have written it after my first visit to Lake Eye a few years ago and everything is just as true at my appointment last week. If I could give an award, it would be Best of Class!

Tuesday out of nowhere I lost 30% of the vision in my left eye. I'm 74 and diabetic so I worried about retina. Called Lake Eye and made appt. for next day. Luckily it turns out to be normal floaters. Check in at Lake Eye was a snap, everyone was very nice. Dr. Girgis is great, very caring and nice to look at. Dr. Wehrly did my cataract surgery years ago, best thing I've ever done. A fan!

I was referred to Lake Eye Associates by my primary care physician. Everyone was friendly and very professional. Dr. Vasquez spent a great amount of time with me and thoroughly explained everything to me. Another bonus is that I was taken into the examination room right on time. I did not have to wait half an hour or longer. Many of my friends have had cataract surgery here and highly recommend Lake Eye.

New patient and was honestly surprised at the services received in the best way. Did the online new patient onboarding and, unlike most providers, did NOT have to fill out a mountain of paperwork when I arrived at the appointment. My wait time was under 15 minutes after arrival, another happy surprise since at most medical professionals even if you arrive early/on time you are usually waiting 30 minutes or more to be seen. Andy was not just personable but professional, moving quickly and efficiently through my exam and more than willing to answer any and all questions. My wait to see Dr Girgis after the exam and evil dilation drops was again surprising short. Dr Girgis was efficient and professional as well as being friendly and open to questions. All in all, a great experience.

Overall my visit was good , exam was complete, every regard to detail, then moved over to Dr. Office to complete my exam. Dr. Spent time to answer questions about glaucoma, floaters, why keeping my diabetes under control was important for my eyesight. I wasn’t rushed thru the visit.
