Lake County Family Dental Care

This was my first time at Lake County Family Dental and I must admit I was thoroughly impressed. I was looking for a new dentist that my insurance would cover and I chose this one. The dental hygienist was extremely nice very thorough and explaining everything that he was doing. Afterwards, Dr. Potts came in and explained a treatment plan that I needed. He was very patient and explained everything in detail. He made sure he answered all of my concerns. I highly recommend this establishment.

Dr Potts is definitely knowledgeable and very good. My main concern is the administration staff. They are so unprofessional. They ignore the patients when they were chatting with each other. The way they dress up to work is also very very unprofessional. The change of quality started after they moved to the current location. One more thing, Dr. Potts clinic is always in the expensive side, especially after he moved. Otherwise, Dr P is a great dentist.

This facility is only interested in your money not your care. They will charge you for any little service. They will push services to multiple visits even though most tasks can be taken care of in 1-2 visits. Their front desk doesn't even know how to create a proper invoice and will over charge you. If your sick the day of your appointment and call to cancel they still charge you a ridiculous amount of money for a missed appointment. Spend your money elsewhere.

We had a very disappointing experience at Lake County Family Dental Care. I informed the office in advance that my daughter is autistic. Despite this, when we arrived, the doctor was unable to examine her and no proper checkup or treatment was completed. The doctor did not appear prepared to handle a child patient. There was no effective attempt to build rapport, explain the process, or adapt the approach to help my child feel comfortable. Time was spent in the room, but no examination was actually done. When I questioned the charge, I was told we were billed because the appointment time was booked and the doctor “spent time” with my daughter — even though no care was provided. If a practice is not prepared to examine a child, this should be clearly communicated before scheduling the ap
