I saw Dr. Kyle Fargen at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist (Winston‑Salem, NC). I’d watched a few of his YouTube videos beforehand & wasn’t quite sure what to expect—while very interesting & informative, the videos were clearly geared toward fellow neuro‑interventionalists, not patient‑facing presentations. In person he was exceptional: very likeable, thoughtful, & clear. My clinical consult & procedure were on different days. At the clinical visit, he asked detailed questions about my sx’s, discussed what those sx’s might indicate, how the procedure could help identify the cause/s, & the various potential treatments depending on what was found. I don't remember seeing or meeting Dr. Fargen because I was a little under the weather at the time I was in his kind care.😊 (hit by a car). Dr. Fargen helped to save my life! On February 22, 2024 I was out for a walk by my apartment after having a massive heart attack in January, when a car whose driver didn't see me, crashed into my body. (I have no memory of that event, thankfully!) I was taken to Baptist Trauma Center in Winston Salem where I was excellently taken care of by a wonderful team of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals. This review is long, but I’ll give a quick review at the end of this paragraph for those who don’t have the time/energy to read through the details. Before that, please know I am a fairly level-headed, good intentioned person who is quite patient in advocating for my health and I’m objective in understanding people have bad days, jobs in healthcare are hard, and the process for specialized care is long. All that being said, Dr. Fargen’s staff WILL be short with you, will not offer you empathy, and seem somewhat proud to be efficient, short, and essentially uncaring. They are unkind, to say the least. Unless you significantly lower your expectations for care and are prepared to carry your feelings of their process by yourself, I can guarantee you will be let down by them. Doctor Fargen is

Dr Fargen is absolutely amazing neurosurgeon. I honestly do not know what I would do without him. He is caring, compassionate and humble. As well as one of the most reknowned neurosurgeons in the world, treating very complex cases such as mine. His research hopefully will save so many people in the future from suffering with IIh, transverse sinus stenosis and jugular stenosis ect . I couldn't ask for a better man to perform my brain stent surgery. He placed two stents on June 13, 2024. I could never thank him enough. I will continue seeing him to address all of my issues. I trust him completely to lead me in the direction that he believes we should go for my future treatments.

Dr Fargen is an Amazingly smart & talented doctor. He and Jennifer were there for me during a very difficult time in my life.. Stacey is also amazing. The whole team is gifted… grateful for them. Highly recommend!!
