Kroger Pharmacy

Absolutely the slowest, 18 days to have a prescription filled. Told me they were waiting for BC/BS to approve, when I had received a letter from BC/BS had approved it! Plus they had paid for the previous scrip same med that took 3 days to fill. Then sent me a text saying they had to contact my NP, and told me the same in person. Paid a visit to my NP, where they had records of correspondence, and Krogers never contacted them and the NP had sent the scrip in three times. Went back to Krogers with the facts and they filled it in 20 minutes.

Unbelievably unreliable and unhelpful technicians/pharmacist. We were told by two different people that our medicine would be ready yesterday, and then again today, only for us to show up and be told in person it's not available to be picked up until tomorrow from a pharmacist with unnecessary attitude. Whoever was working 10/30 and 10/31 is inept and leading an inept team. Get your team on the same page, if your calls are recorded you can hear the incorrect information we were given several times. We're set to leave town and instead we're wasting our time driving back and forth on false information given to us multiple times. All the bad reviews for this pharmacy are well earned, you'd think Kroger would hold their services to a higher standard.

It's been so hit or miss here. Love about half of the staff and they've gone above and beyond and been super helpful. The other half of the time is so dreadful though, that it ruins my overall opinion and review. Today for example: Dr called in a controlled medication which can only be filled every 30 days, early. They said that it would be ready several days ago, which surprised me. When I called to double-check, they acted as though I should have just somehow intuitively known that it wouldn't be filled - Even if their system was the one that told me to come get it. So I waited until the day before it's due (yesterday) to ensure that it would be filled for my aunt this AM, as it is her last day of medication for the month, NONE in bottle left. I’ve seen they have had issues finding a full staff, so it’s to be expected some wait times have happened occasionally. You can only expect so much when it’s only two or three people back there. That being said, they’ve always been very polite and helpful with me. Also, to address a complaint another reviewer had: I have also gotten texts for a prescription being ready when they weren’t. I assume it’s an automated thing they can’t help. So I just started calling in to check if they’re ready. Easy fix on my end.

I’ll start with the good. The Pharmacy techs are very friendly and seem genuine in wanting to help but they are helpless and you can see how frustrated they are and sometimes it comes across rude. Beyond that this place is a disaster. I’ve never used a more unorganized pharmacy in my life. It wouldn’t surprise me if they screw up and give the wrong drugs. You can call in a refill a week, a day, 3 days ahead, it doesn’t matter they won’t have it ready. I’ve never stood in line for less than 30 min. Then you have to come back and stand in line for another 30. Now they’re giving COVID Vaccines which only makes them even more understaffed.
