Kirk's EMS

My 73 year old Father had to be transported from Comanche Medical Hospital to a Hospital In OKC for surgery.. I his Primary Caregiver was denied being able to ride with him even after i explained that i was his Primary Caregiver because of ''Insurance'' Concerns. They even called a Supervisor '' supposedly who said it was to much of a risk. it was one female and one Male ''EMT'' the Female then said uncaringly to me well how are you going to get back!?!!? i informed them i would cross that bridge when it was time. so she chimed in saying they couldn't do it. these two where the most uncaring unempathetic ''EMT's"" i have ever seen and i have had problems with Kirks before and been disgusted by the way they act in the Hospital when i have seen them. I failed to get the names of the crew who came for me. However, I do know it was the 2 crew members plus 2 students. They were wonderful, dealing with my pain and keeping me from focusing on that and taking care of me so well. The transfer at the hospital was perfect. Everything went so smoothly. Could not have asked for better.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Kirk’s EMS for their fast response and professionalism last night. I dont know the person who took care of me but he’s missing 2 fingers along with a bald head .. definitely glad he had a sense of humor to make me laugh on one of the worst nights of my life… patient care was amazing ! Thank you all for all that you do for the community !!

I have dealt with this company on more than one occasion. Someone needs to remind them of their duties and responsibilities. IF THEY ARE CALLED, THEY SHOULD NOT WASTE TIME TRYING TO GET OUT OF TRANSPORTING PATIENTS!!! I have seen them slow walk a patient with an O2 level of 87% trying to convince me that it was normal for someone with COPD. IT'S NOT, THE PATIENT DIED!!! On another occasion they were called for a fall when the patients hip and leg were obviously in an unnatural position. They tried to make her get up and walk. The broken hip was so severe that she was immediately taken into surgery after the x-rays were evaluated. EMS bus just did an illegal 4 way stop in Elgin with no emergency lights. Definitely recommend the drivers take drivers courses again if not frequently
