Kindred Hospital South Florida - Coral Gables

My cousin stayed at Kindred Hospital and our family had a very good experience. The staff and everyone who works there were amazing. They were always friendly, respectful, and willing to help in any way possible. They took the time to answer our questions and made sure our family felt supported during a difficult time. You can tell that the team truly cares about their patients and their families. We are very grateful for the care and kindness they showed to my cousin and to all of us. Thank you for the great work you do every day.

My uncle was transferred here from a large hospital, and our family arrived feeling very worried and unsure about what to expect. From the moment he arrived, the staff made us feel supported and cared for. Nurses Joanka and Pedro were amazing and always advocated for my uncle. They truly showed compassion and dedication in the way they cared for him. We also want to thank the supervisors Ikpey and Daynay, Carmen from X-ray, Dr. Alverti, and Dr. K. Diaz. Your professionalism, kindness, and hard work meant so much to our family during this difficult time. Thank you all for everything you did for my uncle and for supporting our family.

Absolutely terrible place to bring your family members. My mom has been there for a week or so. They completely ignore her, she is dirty for HOURS, she is getting bed sores because they aren’t turning her, when she calls they don’t even answer her call light, they treat her like she’s trash. I have gone to visit her may times and it takes them 4hrs to come to the room. It’s ridiculous. My mom also has anxiety and they don’t even try to talk to her or calm her down when she is panicking. On top of that my mom is a cancer patient with an autoimmune disease so she’s always cold. They had her AC on 60 with no blankets on her. Every time I visit my mom, she’s always dirty, she smells bad, nobody is at the nurses station so how the heck are they supposed to know patient needs their help. I tru

We came to Kindred of Coral Gables after my mom was transferred from another hospital. At that time our situation felt hopeless, but that all changed as soon as we arrived at Kindred. The staff at every level was professional, compassionate, highly skilled and treated us like family. As a fellow medical professional I can honestly say that I have never experienced this level of care and respect. All of the nurses and CNAs took time to explain everything to my mom and treat her with the highest level of empathy and dignity. Presently visiting a family member at this location. I would give it 1 1/2 stars due to the following: The facility is dismal looking. Both of the Hispanic gentlemen, who I have seen at the front reception desk, have no personality, are lazy and disinterested in what's going on. They offer no assistance and seem annoyed. Some of the nursing staff have difficulty understanding English and give the patients little attention. Very often no one answers the phone. It just rings. I've never seen any therapy given which was also confirmed by the patient. The patients just lay there and aren't even turned. The televisions in the rooms face backward and the staff doesn't turn them on. No paper, pens or magazines given to the patients which is cruel. On every visit, I bring the patient pads of pape
