I’m currently a patient here, and after last night’s fire scare, I feel even more grateful to be in this hospital. When the alarms went off and smoke was detected, the staff moved quickly, calmly, and professionally. There was no panic, just coordination, reassurance, and steady communication. Nurses, aides, and every member of the team checked on us, helped relocate and made sure no one was left behind. One thing that really stood out was how seamlessly the hospital staff coordinated with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the local Fire Department. URGENT! No Post-Stroke Rehabilitation. 5 Days of Neglect. To the Management of Kindred Hospital, I am writing this review with extreme alarm and disappointment regarding the care my family member is receiving at your facility. He was transferred to your hospital five days ago specifically for intensive post-stroke rehabilitation. The stroke occurred a month ago. We chose Kindred based on its reputation for rehabilitative care. However, as of today, he has not received a single session of therapy. He has not been evaluated by a physiatrist (rehabilitation doctor), a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, or a speech-language pathologist. He is simply confined to his bed.
