Kids First Pediatric Dentistry

Being a dental hygienist myself, I prefer my son to see a pediatric dentist and I have to say, Dr. Matt and team are truly 1 of a kind! His 1st visit was so fun and cheerful with his cleaning and welcomed by the whole team! We needed to come back and the positive experience didn’t end there. My son felt at ease being 4 years old and having a “yucky tooth” (cavity). The assistants and Dr. Matt made his visit simple as could be with “strawberry air and making his tooth sleepy”! My son had a great experience to make his tooth healthy again! Such a positive experience for him and years to come, thank you again!

Wonderful staff, hygienists, and dentists! we tend to have Dr. Matt who we love, but have always had a positive experience with all the dentists. They are really great with kids! The hygienist we recently had (Ryan, I believe) was so genuinely kind and skilled at making my little one feel calm. I highly recommend Kids First!

I cannot say enough good things about Kids First. I truly don't know where to start. My child isn't the easiest patient. Every hygienist we've had has been incredibly patient with her and helped her through each appointment. Ryan is our new favorite! He had her giggling during her appointment. He made sure she was comfortable with a male hygienist, asked her all the questions, let her tell alllllll her stories, and treated her like a peer instead of just another mouth to clean. The doctors are amazing, too. While my daughter has a soft spot for Dr. Matt, we have had great experiences with Dr. Bakala and Dr. Klarck as well. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend Dr. Karsten, his staff, and Kids First Pediatric Dentistry! The level of care we received was second to none. Dr. Karsten treated my son as if he were family. Every single staff member was friendly, warm, and genuinely eager to help. Dr. Karsten is incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets him apart is the care and compassion he shows every child who walks through his door. It’s clear that he doesn’t just see patients, he sees kids who deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. If you’re looking for a pediatric dentist who will treat your child with the same love and attention you would, this is the place. We’re so grateful we found them!

Dr. Matt is and has been an amazing part of our three kids lives. They like going to the dentist!!! He is great with kids and has always been clear and direct with us about what the kids need. 10/10 recommend.
