Kevin's Pharmacy

I first called and spoke with the manager Kevin at Kevin’s Pharmacy, who acted thoroughly disgusted because I asked him for the cash price of my medication in advance. It’s an expensive medication not covered by insurance, and he should have been able to tell me. After making a big deal about it, he finally gave me the price, so I asked if he could mail it or deliver it. He told me rudely to go to Pleasant Hills Pharmacy instead, which is another half an hour farther away from me. After more unpleasant conversation he finally explained that was their sister store. I’ve never been to either place and knew nothing about them or how their businesses work, and I shouldn’t be expected to as the customer. I really like this pharmacy. It is not on my "preferred pharmacy" list from UPMC. But so far so good. And unlike giant eagle where you have to walk one end of the store to the other, Kevin's delivers. And they'll bring a couple of groceries as well. As a temporary wheelchair confined person, that is a big plus

Switching from a chain pharmacy to Kevin's pharmacy was the right decision. The service is 10x better at Kevin's

I recently switched over from another pharmacy several months back, as a new resident of South Park. I just wanted to tell others in the area about my experience with this pharmacy! I worked in medicine my entire life, and I never imagined I’d find a pharmacy with such caring & knowledgeable pharmacists, & pharmacy technicians. They don’t act as if it’s a burden to help you. I’ve seen the absolute worst care from some places, one that nearly killed me due to negligence when my Rx had been adjusted & they failed to explain things efficiently, it can truly be a matter of life and death. I was given an overdose of medication at my last pharmacy, that caused me to have a grand mal seizure, shortly after being behind the wheel of my car. They offered absolutely no patient counseling by a pharma

Very rude staff. You will stand at the register, employees will look at you, but then ignore you. You will also be given a negative attitude and treated dismissively for asking to purchase some Claritin. Pick a pharmacy with employees that have a better attitude!
