Of the many Baton Rouge area optometrists whose care I have received, Dr. Duong is outstanding. I saw Dr. Doing after getting glasses made at Costco using a prescription from another provider, that were evidently the wrong prescription as I could not see clearly with them. I walked in to their clinic and the front desk staffer quickly worked me in for an exam. They checked my new glasses and confirmed that they had been made as specified by the previous provider’s prescription. Dr. Duong’s exam yielded a much different prescription. He explained some factors that can lead to incorrect prescriptions for people who are very nearsighted. Costco re-made the glasses using Dr. Duong’s prescription and now I see clearly. I will go back to Dr. Duong for my next annual eye exam. Highly recommend

After confirming it would be at least an hour past my appointment time to be seen, and after the receptionist became aggressive about the appointment time, I left. I’m sure the doctor is wonderful, but I wouldn’t know as my appointment was at 12:30 and it is now 12:55 and I am still sitting in the lobby. I don’t understand how you send three texts to confirm an appointment, but can’t let me know that the doctor is running behind. This is unacceptable, and the fact that I got to hear the the staff (a LOT of staff) gossip just adds to my annoyance. This is time I’m not getting back. Additionally, please tell your staff about not wearing strong perfumes or colognes.

While I did not have any issues with Dr. Duong himself, I did have a problem with their customer service afterward. At the time of my visit, I paid out of pocket for my exam because I was unable to locate my insurance card to verify my vision benefits. Since then I have located my card and called them to rerun the visit through my insurance to receive a refund for my out-of-pocket expenses. My insurance verified that they are an In-Network provider and have up to 6 months to file a claim through the insurance company. I called Dr. Duong's office back to ask them to do so, and they refused. They stated that their system does not allow them to file claims retroactively. What’s crazy is that the insurance company is willing and giving the green light to do so but the provider is not… Sorry b

Dr. Duong was incredible! I've never had an eye doctor take so much time and explain everything to me in so much detail. Definitely recommend him and his staff! Very professional and thorough.

I had a great experience with my visit to Dr. Duong. Both the dr and staff were very friendly and helpful.
