Kentmere

This place is a sham! Took my mom there for respite care and they put her on a regular floor- SHE HAS DEMENTIA!!! They put her on the Physical Therapy floor. No one came to see about her while we were there. I had to go to the Nursing station and they said they do not have one on one care for this floor. Also, they mentioned we are short staffed. The head of nursing came down and I expressed my concerns and she said she will be fine. I left and and hour after I left, they called and said she was walking into peoples room!! Of course she is, she has DEMENTIA and cannot find her own room! They called me again saying she was agitated. If you knew that Dementia patience get agitated, then you know what to give them. It's on her CHART!!!!!!!!! I GUESS WITH RESPITE CARE THEY PUT YOU

Run away from this facility. The care they provide is absolutely awful. I treat my dog better than my loved one was treated in this facility. They do not care about the patients. Couldn’t care less about getting meds to patients on time. If I could give them zero stars I certainly would. Please do not subject your loved one to Kentmere Nursing Home.

This place has a serious rat problem. The rats are huge and roam around residents rooms and hallways in the evenings and nights. You won’t see the rats in the daytime. I hope the state sits in there a few nights to see how terrible it is. No one deserves to live with big fat rats.

If you care about your loved one, DO NOT SEND him/her to Kentmere. My Grandmother was at this facility for a short time and we are so upset with ourselves that she even stayed there for a single second. Under their "care" (better terminology to use would be "lack there of care") my Grandmother was not fed, she laid in soiled depends and bedding for HOURS and was treated so poorly to the point of her begging us not to say anything to staff or they would take it out on her. She fell out of bed on several occasions and wasn't found for hours. Because of them not moving her around and allowing her to sit up in a chair and doing proper PT, my Grandmother developed Blood Clots. Kentmere is an amazing, big and beautiful facility. I wasn't shocked to hear that so many of their residents have lived there for over a decade, as they do not want to leave! The Kentmere staff truly care and make sure every resident gets the attention they need - and there are always several activities going on, too! If they can't help you themselves, they will direct you to the best person who can. Chris Collins, their director of admissions, is truly an honest, caring man, and will guide you and your family in the right direction.. Highly recommend.
