I have only had her for a short period of time but let me say that I am so impressed. Getting healthcare professionals to actually listen to you is so hard to do and I’m not sure why. Yes, you know your textbook but I know my body. Kate listened and treated me like a human which may seem basic but almost every doctor before her could not do what she’d done. I was fighting for answers in a body I no longer recognized. Kate listened and because of that, I was able to find answers to my symptoms. The arrogance, ego and privilege of some providers has been and will be the death of many patients. If you aren’t informed enough to advocate for yourself, please take someone with you who can. It could mean the world of a difference. I love people like her! She makes me trust in healthcare again!
