Dr. Jana has been a good doctor for my children thus far. However since when do you not give patients medicine for having the flu? We have been shut in the house for a week. My girls caught it first, we went in 2 days after symptoms started (due to the snow). She said she wouldn’t prescribe, because they were too far along, treat with Motrin and Tylenol. My little one who has a cough and “red throat” according to her tested negative, would likely follow along to give her a call back if symptoms persisted. He ran a fever all night between 100.3 and 101.8, I call to ask if I need to bring him in, to which I’m given the same instructions of Tylenol and Motrin. All this to say, I’m not sure when they stopped prescribing medicine for the flu…however I’m a mother who has been out of work for 3

I spoke very highly of Dr. Jana three years ago when I started taking my children to this practice. I’ve always thought she was a great pediatrician. However, after my last experience with this practice I immediately found a new pediatrician for my children. My son has been experiencing rare GI symptoms for almost a year. He had multiple exams done through one GI pediatrician in Raleigh, but all test came back normal. I decided to take him back to Johnston Pediatrics for a follow up on the issue to see if they could possibly provide answers. He saw Dr.Carpenter and she was clueless about his symptoms but referred me to Duke. The following Monday I immediately called Duke to check the status of the referral and was told it would be a month before my son could be seen. However, if the problem

Twice now this place has called in an antibiotic that my 3 yo grand baby is allergic to. Had to call them the first time and they called in a different one. Well this time they called the wrong one in again said when my daughter called they would call in a different one seeing that my baby has a bad ear infection. They never called it in and now they are closed and it's Friday. The worst dr.s I have ever seen.

Please do not bring your kids here. Do yourself a huge favor and save yourself some time by finding a different pediatricians office. My Newborn was seen here and they expected me to have his heel cut 3 different times on account of their mistakes! The first time, they lost his test result, the second time, they didn't get enough blood, and I refused to take him the third time because 2 mistakes in a row was enough for me. ALSO, My little sister has had stomache pain and it took this office over 2 months to send in a simple refferal to the G.I specialist. I had to call this office multiple times to finally get the referral out. My only mistake was not switching her to a new pediatrician during that 2 months of going back and forth. There are plenty of other pediatricians to grow with. I'll

Terrible I'm so disappointed. My son developed asthma because the pediatrician didn't treat him properly. I don't know what's going on with the health system and the doctors. When people is very very sick they always say "you're ok, your results are fine" but you keep feeling bad and sick. Then they say "oh! you may have mental problems"... What is going on? Also the tests they are using aren't effective to detect other strong bacteria and candida that are going on in the area and those things are causing severe health conditions. The good thing would be if the could have more resources, better testing to detect those bacterias.
