Johnson City Medical Center: Emergency Room

I checked in at 7pm and the registration would get the only star. They took me right back because they were concerned. They put me in a room and that was it. I pushed the button asking my nurse because I was in so much pain from kidney stones for some medicine or for a doctor to see me. It was over three hours before I saw a doctor and I still did not get any medication. Right before I got taken to get a CAT scan the doctor came in and said oh she needs fluids, Medication intestine done. 30 minutes after I return from my scan I asked if I could have my medication now, The nurse doctor did not put any orders in. At this time it was 11:30 PM. A new shift of nurses was in and I thought maybe it would be different. Nothing change. My blood pressure got up to 168/103. Do you think They checked

Checking into the ER was really good. They checked on me fairly quick. All good. Then they took me to room 14 in the ER and the guy was hooking me up and said he need wires to hook up monitor, that’s when he forgot me and most likely didn’t tell nurses I was in the room. Not sure how long I was in there, I am guessing over an hour. Someone stuck their head in my room looking for something and I ask them to check and let them know I was in the room. After that I was well took care of. I think I was let go to soon and they thought it was an issue with me bowels. I have cleaned them out and started throwing up and in the same amount of pain. I called the on call for aDr Reddy and they told me to see how I am doing tomorrow and make decision about coming back. I thought the Dr was nice but las

Received the best care. Everyone was super nice. Doctor went over all test results and explained in a way that I understood. Took really good care of me. Was also nice to my roommate that accompanied me to E.R. Appreciate all of you! Special thanks to thoughtful employee that gave out warm blankets.

I went to the emergency room, which is something I don't normally do. However I was feeling so badly that I had no other option. From the moment I walked into this hospital every person I encountered was kind, concerned, and very professional. The doctor that saw me, had a very calming, reassuring mannerism. He took his time with me and explained components involving my problem, and how best to address them. He checked on me several times throughout my evaluation. When I was discharged from care, I left with a sense of ease, and felt so much better. I would definitely go back to Johnson City emergency room if I need further treatment.

Awesome thoughtful people who cared and were very knowledgeable. Our treatment from start to finish was awesome. Even the guy stabbing me with the needle so he could suck my blood was awesome. Usually I pass out at the thought of a needle (due to severe needle allergy) but he used an allergy free needle! Who knew there was such a thing (lol) but I didn’t pass out under his care - big miracle. Every one I came into contact with was so nice and compassionate. BUT, I hope never to return!
