JMU Occupational Therapy Clinical Education Services (OTCES)

We had a great experience at JMU Occupational Services. Our son was seeing Christiana Santos and she was amazing! She was very understanding and made us feel comfortable from the very start. I feel that not only did our son benefit tremendously from this service, but also us as parents in how to handle certain issues. They were great in addressing fine motor skills and also giving him coping strategies to use at school and home. I would highly recommend them!

Not only is their casual atmosphere a huge plus for us, but the staff are all so warm and friendly, yet professional. As well as treating your child during their session, they also give you ideas and resources to utilize at home, helping extend the therapeutic mindset outside of therapy. They look at the whole child and spend time getting to know and understand them. I truly appreciate my son's OT's honest and gentle approach with him, as well her knowledge, flexibility, and compassion. Over the past year, my son, with her help, has made great strides in his ability to cope, transition, focus, get information from his head to his paper, release his energy in a healthier and safer manner, and take control of his thinking. I highly recommend JMU OTCES!
