Dr Fisher has experience, knowledge, and skill. However, I did not feel comfortable explaining my concerns about a field biopsy with a limited history of my prostate PSA’s and MRI’s. He kept insisting that no imaging exists that can tell me if I have cancer. I felt the questions I wanted to ask were not worth asking someone with that attitude. For example, Was it a 1.5T or 3.0T MRI? Is there better methods for biopsy then entering through the rectum? He agreed that waiting until August when I have Medicare insurance will not likely make much of a difference in the approach to cancer treatment but why a rectal field biopsy when more detailed imaging (if possible) can result in a completely different approach to treatment. My family member developed urinary retention and required an ER visit where a Foley catheter was placed with strict instructions for prompt urology follow-up. Unfortunately, Dr. Fischer’s office was extremely difficult to reach. Despite already being an established patient, repeated phone calls to schedule a follow-up went unanswered, and the earliest appointment we could obtain was one month later, which felt unsafe given the situation. During the visit, the doctor prescribed Flomax and primarily blamed the ER for not providing the prescription, rather than focusing on a clear plan moving forward. Not what we expect from most doctors nowadays. Dr. Fischer never rushes an appointment, and always takes time to answer all your questions. His relaxed yet confident approach to urology helped me navigate some difficult issues and I thank him for a successful conclusion! Bill Bergeron
