Janigian Retina Associates

Had recent Eye surgery by Dr. Janigian at the surgical center in Warwick to close a hole in my macular. Both experiences were great! My doctor calmed my fears and the staff at the Surgical Center, Emilie and Dora, made the whole ordeal a pleasant situation. Kudos to all!

I can’t say enough about this practice. Late in the afternoon of July 3, my ophthalmologist confirmed a retinal tear in my left eye that required immediate attention. We were up against the Fourth of July holiday weekend and it was difficult to find someone who was available. Fortunately for me, I was sent to Janigian Retina Associates. My husband battled holiday traffic to get me to Providence. Very stressful, very scary. But Brian, the technician, treated me kindly and reassured me that I would be OK. His attitude was superlative, and I’m sure he stayed late to set me up for my surgery. Dr. Janigian is exactly the doctor you want in a situation like mine. He’s calm and professional. He treated me with dignity, addressing me by name and explaining each step. I am so very grateful for him

I went in yesterday from a referral from my optometrist. My optometrist office set up the appointment and gave me the time. They state they had no info from the optometrist why I was there and apparently we’re not going to call them to get it. The assistant was going to put pressure drops in my eye knowing I had my contacts in. Then told me I was going to be dilated. I drove myself and planned to go back to work since I was not told to prepare for a dilation during this visit. The assistant asked if I had sunglasses,, not prescription sunglasses? Then she said well you can dilate the one eye. No I am refusing. She says she will have to check with the doctor. Dr. Bryan comes in to tell me I have to reschedule since I can not dilate today. I will be rescheduling elsewhere and informed him of

I usually don’t bother reviewing but out of curiosity I read some of the negative reviews and can’t believe them. I have been dealing with a retina which keeps detaching and have had 5 surgeries with the practice. The staff is fabulous and waits are non existent. I have had at least 15 appointments in the last 10 months. Dr. Savoie is awesome very professional and gets back to me very quickly if I call with any questions.

Brought family member here for an appointment. Mid afternoon. The waiting room had about a dozen people in it. After more patients were coming in, the receptionist asked for non patients to wait outside. Keep in mind it's 15 degrees out. Waited in the car obviously. The point is, why were so many people in the waiting room? Appointment took forever. Learn how to book appointments correctly. Very unprofessional!
