Jacob A. Nix, D.M.D.

Dr. Nix has been a wonderful dentist. He took over the practice from my prior dentist more than a decade ago, and I am still coming to see him. He explains things thoroughly, he takes his time, and his staff is wonderful. Maureen, his receptionist, is phenomenal. I successfully recommended another patient who has had prior negative experiences with dentists. That person is a regular patient of Dr. Nix. I’ve always recommended him when someone is seeking a dentist in Silver Spring.

Dr. Nix is a excellent dentist but also a genuinely great guy to chat with. If it wasn't for the contraption shoved on my mouth, dental appointments would feel a bit like meeting a friend for happy hour. Dr Nix and his team get me in and out fast, I enjoy my time there, it doesn't hurt and I never have any problems with my teeth. Hard to ask for anything more than that. He takes care of my wife and kid as well and we all have good things to say.

Dr. Nix is very personable and explained everything clearly before proceeding. I can honestly say I enjoyed my visit to the dentist. He educated me on dental health and gave me some options to improve my routine all in a very friendly way. Not only that, but his receptionist Maureen remembered my voice from when I made the appointment and made my intake incredibly easy!

Best dentist I've had bar none! I first went to Dr. Nix for a tooth problem that I was incredibly nervous about because of the location of the tooth and the complexity involved in resolving the problem. The complications I'd been warned about came in full swing and through the year and a half it took to get the tooth fixed, I couldn't have been in more competent and meticulous hands. In addition to being a really good dentist who's super skilled in his craft, Dr. Nix is personable, genuinely cares about his patients, and best of all, works with a team that has the same qualities. In fact, I'm impressed by the Nix team that I've continued traveling to Silver Spring even after moving an hour away. I'm a strong believer in keeping and sharing something good when I find it so here I am!

By far the best dentist I have ever had. I’ve walked in several times ready to need pricey work done, and every time he has passed on performing unnecessary work and given me peace of mind at minimal cost- the total opposite of my previous two dentists. Despite having a busy schedule he is always all in to deal with my many dentistry related anxieties, and he will take time to answer all questions asked of him. Also, he’s pretty funny. The staff is awesome as well. Maureen and Stephanie are terrific! I’ve only met the hygienist once, but she was also great. If you’re looking for a good dentist, this is absolutely the best dental care available in the area.
