Dr. Overly and his staff, Teri and Michelle, run the kind of practice that is truly different. From the moment you walk in, you’re talked to like a person—not just a patient they have 8.5 minutes to spend time with before running to their next appointment. Dr. Overly takes the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure you understand your issues and care every step of the way. His personable approach, great communication, and excellent results made it easy to go through the process. Sometimes I simply get exhausted with doctor visits, but his upbeat team makes each visit comfortable and easy. I highly recommend Island Foot and Ankle.

Dr Overly operated on me 2 years ago for a Lisfrank injury. Then again weeks later for tendons that tore off the bones while sleeping. His manner was friendly and professional until after the second surgery when I was still in pain. He dismissed me and referred me to a pain management dr who put me on pain medication 3 times a day which I took for almost 1.5 years. I finally decided to seek a second opinion and went to MUSC. After an MRI the dr said he could not determine what Dr Overly had done. A round of tests and trial injections followed by surgery to correct the botched Overly surgery. Also the screw which we’re now coming out of my foot needed to be removed. 6 months post MUSC surgery I am free of pain. I now have a cadaver tendon. Dr. Overley and his team truly cared about the reconstruction and rehabilitation of my daughter's ankle. Scheduling, insurance, and questions were easy and thoroughly explained.
