I was very appreciative that they were able to get us in just two days after I called — that part was great. However, once we arrived, we waited past our scheduled appointment time. After being taken back, they did X-rays and were fairly polite. But after looking at his tooth for only about three minutes, I was told that sedation was the only option to complete the filling. They were able to get my daughter in the same day to examine her teeth and complete her filling, which immediately relieved her pain. After being referred to another office and told we would have to wait three months, this meant everything to us. Thank you so much for your compassion, urgency, and amazing care. My daughter is no longer in pain, and I truly appreciate you all more than words can say! 💙🦷

We had a very disappointing experience at Iowa Pediatric Dentistry with our 3-year-old. First, we waited 40 minutes just to be taken back. When they finally came to get us, we were told only one parent could go back. Our 3-year-old immediately became upset because he wanted both parents, which is completely normal at that age. As we walked back, he was crying and clearly anxious. The assistant told us to sit him in the chair and “watch Bluey,” as if that alone would calm a scared toddler. While I was actively trying to comfort my child, both the assistant and dentist were rolling their eyes, which felt incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. My daughter had tons of anxiety getting her cavities filled but Maddie was amazing with talking her through it. She was playful and happy and I don't think my daughter would have been as relaxed as she was if it wasn't for Maddie. My daughter did move around quite a bit but they were still so nice and didn't seem irritated with her at all. They let me stay in the room with her and talk to her so that she would feel better. We will continue to come here for our dental needs.

Excellent place for kids they have a way to approach kids and not make them feel nervous before the procedure. Highly recommend.
