My brother had to have emergency back surgery due to a pathological fracture in his spine. He had a large tumor pressing on his nerves, causing severe pain. We are thankful his doctor used the services of IntraNerve to ensure a successful surgery. The insurance company denied the charges due to the provider being out of network, leaving us with a very large bill. IntraNerve's billing person was so kind and easy to work with to resolve the bill. This review is not fake and I was not coerced to write this review. Like others, I was unaware that I was receiving this important service during my spinal fusion in November 2023. From the beginning, Pat in billing was professional and beyond helpful, reaching out to me regarding insurance and some out-of-network issues. We worked together to appeal my insurance's decision. From the executive team on down, these people are committed to people's well-being, and it's clear that they are truly a patient-focused service! I had back surgery in March of 2023 and got a surprise notice in the mail from these guys about services they provided that I was unaware of at the time. Ultimately, I was saddled with a $4,000 bill through my insurance because the service was out-of-network and provided for something they deemed not life-threatening enough to be warranted. This kicked off a 6 month appeal process that ended with my insurance's decision being upheld. Despite this personal fiasco, IntraNerve was easy to work with every step of the way, and most importantly, they were gracious enough to waive my fee when everything was all said and done.
