Inova Loudoun Hospital

During a business trip in Boston I had a medical event that caused me to travel back home early. During my flight, the pain was absolutely excruciating and once landed at Dulles, I drove myself to INOVA Loudoun ER which was on my way home to Harpers Ferry. Patient registration was absolutely amazing! She recognized the pain I was in and got through the formality of ID, insurance, etc in record time. Luckily, there was no one else in the ER at the time so I was rushed back immediately after registration was complete. The nurses and ER doctors on staff were fully attentive and immediate in my care to manage the pain and to begin diagnosing (again…I was the only person there at the time). I had an endometriosis excision done on 1/29/2026, and let me just say the staff workers I had WERE AMAZING!! I don’t know last names, but from the little white board in my room my nurses was Kim, Mindy & Sistine and every single one of these woman were sweet, kind, compassionate, and over the top caring. I’ve never seen a place where staff cared so much about their patients. Even post op, every nurse I had ( I can’t remember the names ) but every single one of them treated me with respect & care. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Such a lovely group of nurses💛

I want to give five stars to the 6th floor. CCU not so much except for our tech and few nurses. However, housekeeping was awful in CCU (I changed out my dads linens and garbage) garbage was not changed -once-hourly rounding was nonexistent. Thank God someone was with my father the entire day. I placed a towel under him before I left at night and when I came in the morning it was saturated along with his under chux- gown. This happened twice. No oral hygiene of any other offered. They told us they had 2-3 pt ratio. Our nurse has one other patient for 10 hours before she received a third and saw her 3 times in 12.5 hours .6th floor was amazing. They changed his sheets daily- something we did not get in CCU- they rounding consistently and purposefully , they were AMAZING FIVE STARS FOR the 6

One of the worst hospitals ever!!! No sense of urgency by medical staff. They will have you wait and wait and wait. The emergency room was so full that there wasn't enough seats to sit down. The nurses are rude as heck and treated me like I wasn't wanted. Never will I go back to this hospital. If I ever have a medical situation, I would rather go to Urgent Care and take my chances there. Do not recommend this place if your life depended on it. Especially if you're people of color...go elsewhere.
