Independence Health Primary Care

If you are going to an Independence Health facility, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Their billing system is a complete and utter mess. It is abhorrent how they handle billing and records. They do so through a third party that does not communicate at all with the provider and insurance. I have had dozens of bills over the last two years disputed, and a hundred hours on the phone trying to correct them. They do not know how to bill, will do so incorrectly, and have tried to take me to collections twice over an issue they said they would resolve (their fault). Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else; UPMC seems to be more on top of things.

Located in the new Excela Square at Latrobe the layout of the office is great. You sign in along the main hallway. You are walked to an exam room off a main hall. I never entered the area with doctors, nurses etc. The nurse enters the room from the opposite side you entered. This is the same way the Dr enters and exits. Once your exam is done you get you papers and exit the way you came in. Privacy is ensured here better than any medical facility I have ever been in. Another great feature is the walking track that surrounds the facility and has nice views of the Chestnut Ridge.
