Immediate Care

Brought our 7 year old son in on Christmas with a presumed double inner ear infection. Not our first rodeo with it and asked the doctor for amoxicillin. Doctor ignores our request and says he has the flu and wants us to test (must be a nicer reimbursement). We are positive he didn't have the flu - no one else was sick and he was exposed to a ton of family and friends - none of which ever sick. We ask if there is any treatment for flu other than motrin and tylenol for a 7 year old. He says there is not so we decline flu test. His ears are killing him and he has a 103 fever. Doc barely looks in his ears, doesnt listen to his chest and recommends a flu swab again. We decline and ask for antibiotics. He prescribes drops for a "possible outer ear infection" and sends us on our way. 4

This is literally the best urgent care experience I’ve ever ever had. Everyone was so polite and professional. Answered questions, listened to me, even cracked jokes. I’ve never experienced care like this before. I feel like I left there with no box unchecked and no question unanswered. I live in North Jersey so not close to here at all, but I will absolutely be back to receive care. The receptionist was kind and professional and helped me with all of my paperwork. I visited this office on Sunday. I had two medical assistants in the exam room with me before the doctor came into the room. I explained to them that I had finished a course of antibiotics for a Group B Strep UTI but I still had symptoms. I brought my previous Quest Diagnostic results and my antibiotic script to show them. I asked to be retested for the same UTI strain as well as a sensitivity test that would show what antibiotic is needed if I indeed still had the bacterial infection. When Dr. Eric Aita came into the room I explained my concerns to him and he acknowledged my request. Imagine my surprise two days later when the test results came in and neither test had been done. Great experience! Staff was very friendly from the reception to the nurse (Tracy!) to the actual examination. Came late on a Wednesday night they can do little tests here but the nurse practitioner (Kenya!) was very friendly. She was knowledgeable and really felt like she cared. Place was clean and organized with precautions for Covid.
