Illumina Medical Centers of Miami Beach

Never going back to this place! I went for a general check-up, analyses showed I had very high triglycerides, so I asked the doctor to please repeat the analysis, as we have a small baby and we get very little sleep (and I suspected I didn't get enough hours for the fasting needed before the tests). She refused and wanted me to take some very strong pills, which may even cause pancreatic malfunction. I refused and went to a different doctor, repeated the tests with a proper fasting beforehand, and all levels were normal. Very incompetent people in that clinic!!!

THIS PLACE IS A MESS AND NOT TO SOLVE YOUR HEATH PROBLEM QUICKLY! Me and my wife have been patients for a few years both as GP and Cardilogist at illumina. Doctors change rapidly, every year or so, so you end up not having continuity in your treatment, and spend time and money because every new doctor performs new test and visits. Getting the line with the receptnionist is like winning the bingo, when you get it most likely you will be put on hold for long period of times. Lately we visited the center because my wife had abdominal pain and because my daughter suffers from a serious problem and cannot contract Strepto during this problem otherwise conditions may be dangerous. Illumina does not have strepto test or any basic urinary test (our pediatritian does those test in 5 minutes) , s

I really liked drMedina, however the office is incredibly poorly run. I asked for a referral for a specialist and it’s been over 5 months and I haven’t gotten one that accept my insurance. I also needed a referral for ultrasound and they sent me to two places that didn’t accept my insurance. HORRIBLE

In a city full of horribly run medical facilities this place stands out as particularly poorly run. Wait times are out of control (consistently over an hour) and doctor turnover is high so there is no continuity in your treatment. I would look elsewhere for medical services.

Never going back to this medical center, my first experience was Horrible , I had appointment With Dr Carlos, the reception took my information I was waiting about 40 minutes finally the front desk informed me my appointment canceled.
