I'm a cancer survivor. I had three surgery on my neck and six weeks of radiation resulting in a partial paralyzed throat and tongue. It was very difficult for me to swallow without the fear of aspirating. My first visit with Cammy and staff was wonderful. I was given several exercises and tools that made a significant difference in my ability to swallow without discomfort or fear. At the end of my treatments I experienced sustained improvement in my ability to enjoy a meal. Cammy and staff did an exceptional job giving back an important function of my life and I will be forever grateful. I highly recommend Idaho Speech and Shallow.

Earlier this year, I experienced significant voice range impairment--including the complete loss of my singing voice--and significant swallowing issues. She was upfront and frank, but optimistic--letting me know that recovery would likely take several months but offering continual encouragement, coaching and therapy. I’ve had a dry bad cough for almost 9 years. I was referred to Idaho Speech and Swallow by my ENT Dr. Gi. I was very hesitant I’ve seen every doctor in the area over the last 9 years. They all basically said asthma. I knew it wasn’t just asthma the meds did nothing and cost too much. Cammy was THE FIRST PERSON to validate my concerns and address the underlying issues.
