Today, I brought all four of my children, ages five through 17, for their scheduled eye exams with Dr. Daniel Olanrewaju. The optometry technician was very punctual, taking each of my children one at a time to prepare them for their exams. The intake receptionist was incredibly courteous, especially when my youngest asked if there were any crayons and coloring sheets. She quickly pulled out some fun, seasonal coloring sheets and crayons from the cabinet, which all of my kids, from my five-year-old to my 17-year-old, enjoyed while waiting for their turn. I was so grateful for this, as keeping multiple children entertained during appointments can be stressful, and those activities truly saved the day. My daughter saw Dr. Dawn Hallums in April. The experience was less than great to say the least. The eye doctor was rude, seemed annoyed with my child asking questions, and didnt seem to like any of the questions we asked in reference to some of the eye problems she was having they just weren’t worth answering. She pretty much told us that’s just life, I asked if I should ask an allergy specialist and was told we could see another dr if we weren’t happy with her answer. She was just rude, unprofessional, and had no bed side manner. We didn’t stay for our second child to see her.
