One year ago today I had one of the worst medical experiences of my life at Huntington Health. I went to the ER with severe stomach pain. A CT scan was performed, but the radiologist apparently misread the results. My appendix had already ruptured and I had an appendicular abscess forming around what remained of it. Because of this error, I was left without surgery for an additional night while in excruciating pain. Surgery did not occur until the following evening. When I was taken into the surgical room, there was blood on the ceiling, which was shocking and unsettling to see before a procedure. After surgery, I was placed in the maternity ward being used as overflow because there were no available rooms. The room felt like a closet. The TV did not work, and the monitoring system init

Best hospital for Emergency. Great doctors and friendly staffs. ICU nurses and doctors are all very caring, attentive and informative. Very Clean comfortable environment. Delicious hospital meals with large menu selection. Ambiance reflects a luxury hotel instead of hospital. Highly recommended.

I tried calling to see the status of a my grandmother and the person on the call was so rude and had a very mean tone. Bad customer service. And when I called I asked how she was doing because she went into surgery and I haven’t heard from her and he responded so quick like if he didn’t even look on the computer or whatever they use he just said “she’s out of surgery and in recovery”. I feel like he didn’t actually check he responded way too fast and was really rude. We need to treat our customers better. Treat patients with more care and respect please

The care i received in the tramua ER department was abysmal. I came in for hemorrhage due to a a miscarriage. I was treated so roughly and inhumane it is unconscionable. I have deep bruises and sores on my arms from the amount of times i was stabbed with ivs. I was telling one of the male nurses to stop and something was wrong and was told to be quiet. Later the other nurses kept pumping my vein roughly for blood but none would come out bc of how poorly the iv was put in. I hope I do not have permanent damage. After i was out of the tramua unit i could not move my arms and was wheeled around cold and shivering with no decency. I had to do my best to cover my breasts. In the after care, I waited in a pool of my own miscarriage blood (very heavy blood) for hours. No one offered to clean me u

Absolutely awful experience. Triage when we got here was zero questions and no one looked at the cut my wife has on her head. Have been waiting 6 hours after being told we were in the fast track side and 3 and 1/2 hours was max. I have now gotten 5 different answers from the staff. The last staff member told me it could be 9 hours. Really? Well, yes. I am now almost 10 hours in and was just told snottily by a nurse that the Doctor “would come in when he is ready.” Can’t make this up. Care givers. The staff can’t even call out the names properly when calling patients back for treatment. Half of the staff mumbles. I would give them a zero or negative number if I could. Something is very wrong at this hospital. Unless you are on your death bed, go somewhere, anywhere, else.
