I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hunters Creek Animal Hospital. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. The customer service was truly extraordinary. Everyone took the time to explain procedures clearly and made both my dog and me feel welcomed, supported, and at ease from the very beginning. Dr. Bayer is absolutely fantastic. He is incredibly knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate. He was not at all intimidated by my Shar-Pei, approached my dog with calm assurance, and demonstrated a deep understanding of the breed and its common medical concerns. Dr. Bayer and all the other doctors that have treated my dogs are absolutely amazing. Most of the office staff is nice. However, today, 2/13/26, I’ve spoken on the phone twice with the same lady who had a poor attitude both times. She needs to realize how stressful it is when someone’s pet is ill. If you are not a pet/people person, you should not work with them. Update: After speaking with Dr. Bayer I learned that this same lady miscommunicated as well. She told us doctor had prescribed a new antibiotic, but never told us he also prescribed another medication. If she had told us this, it would have saved us a lot of worries and time wasted calling unnecessarily. Thank GOD the doctors are amazing here.

After checking her bloodwork, the doctor gently and honestly told us that her organs were shutting down and that resuscitation, while possible, would not lead to a meaningful recovery.
