Hulston Cancer Center

Been seeing Dr. Lobin's for awhile now due to me having low blood platelets. Dr. Lobin's and his staff are always super friendly and go out of there way to help you. The receptionist when you check in are always phenomenal as well. Dr. Lobin's is very outgoing, super friendly, and a great Doctor! It is always a pleasure to get to see Dr. Lobin's and his staff. The world would be a much better place if everyone was as nice as Dr. Lobin's and his staff are. Cox Hospital in my opinion is very blessed to have Dr. Lobin's on their medical staff. In March of 2023, I went to Cox South due to five BB sized bumps along my collarbone. After waiting for 12 to 14 hours, I was seen by staff. My wife had to go home, as we have a small farm, and livestock that needed to be cared for. While there, they did some blood tests, an EKG, and followed up with a CT scan. After an hour or two, a doctor finally came.in the room, I hadn't seen anyone for that entire time, and he asked if anyone had spoken with me. I told him no. He then said I have cancer, that it is inoperable, and untreatable, and that I needed to go home and get my affairs in order, as I may have two to four weeks to live. He then had a nurse come in, unhook me from everything, and discharge me. I was alone, as my wife had left, and so I went.out to the entrance, and waited for her

Dr.Bande is the best hematologist! I am so thankful to him, it can be hard to find a doctor that listens and does their best to treat your condition, so often iron deficient patients are ignored. But Dr.Bande truly cares! I am so grateful to him and will continue my care at cox because of him! Thank you Dr.Bande!

Very convoluted with some numbers being wrong on elevator we went up in. GPS was uncertain of location. No big letters on back of buildings that would have been so helpful. Not enough parking. Phones not always answered. Not the cleanest, though bathrooms were up to par. More hand sanitizer needed. Really needs some updates. Hated the 7th floor only had thin see through blinds, chairs facing OUT, and rooms sterile and barren. Easy check in - long wait with a gown, freezing. Will probably not go back.

I absolutely love all the staff at the Hulston center, very caring and they explain every part of the process in detail, and Dr. Biggers makes sure you know all your options. He genuinely cares about your life, you are not just a number on a chart. I also love the way all the doctors, practitioners, nurses, and oncologist work as a smooth efficient team.
