Dr. Smission and his staff are excellent! Very professional and knowledgeable. I had been living with pain for years afraid of back surgery. Dr. Smission performed a less invasive surgery and it was a massive relief. Should have we to him years ago! Thanks Again!
I'm from out of town and knew absolutely no one in the medical field. I began loosing feeling in my arms, hands, legs and feet, and was struggling to walk. My son took me to the emergency room and that's where I got acquainted with Dr. Smisson's surgical team. Dr Smisson wasted no time, and within 24 hours I was having surgery. His staff, along with the nurses that cared for me were very professional, but very caring. I never felt like I was just another number, they showed me true compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Smisson and his staff. I only have one complaint, he's not in Missouri.
Dr Smisson performed a microdoscectomy on me in 2004 for a herniated disc that was pinching my ciatic nerve to my right leg. I could not walk more than about 50 feet prior to surgery. He told me I would be able to walk fine right after surgery, and he was correct. I have been fine ever since except for a few minor backaches unrelated to nerve issues.
