Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

My mother was transferred to this facility from the hospital with a planned hospice overlay. Based on its ratings - it was our last choice to send her but the hospital tied our hands by discharging her with this facility being the only local place to offer a bed. We were terrified to send her here based on local press from the Summer of 2025 that the nurses and staff were protesting due to poor care for residents and infestations of rats and roaches. Unfortunately - she passed away and was only in this facility for less than 48 hours. While I was there with her, this is what I saw/experienced based on the short amount of time she was there: Positives: - No rats or roaches were seen while she was there - Lobby was decorated for the season and welcoming - All staff members we interacte

I visited Hudson Park to see a very special friend. I had the opportunity of speaking to a couple of the AIDS that work there and also a couple people having to do with admissions and someone who coordinates getting someone sent back to their home. I was very impressed that the people I came in contact with were very friendly and very courteous as to making sure everything was good for the person I was visiting.

12/16/25 I'm updating my review to reflect current experiences. I have spoken with a variety of numerous staff/positions (this facility has had numerous staffing changes since my sister became a resident). I've personally met with and worked with Jennifer Orton, Director of Social Work, and can say she has been amazing during such a difficult time (this place needs her, as do the residents and families). I can't update much about Caitlin, Facility Administrator, as she hasn't reached out and tried to rectify things. Some of the nursing/food service is good, responsive and care. Others... Not so much. If you advocate, Jennifer will listen and help. Some of the mid level nursing... maybe needs more training. Original review: This place is unsanitary, smells of urine, complete negligent care

All the people we have encountered at Hudson Park have been very welcoming. I feel my Dad is in very capable hands. The nurses have compassion and deal with him with a great sense of humor.

Some staff are friendly others not so much. I must post an unacceptable instance. On Friday 10/31, my wife pushed the button to go the bathroom nothing happened After the better part of an hour or more I finally found someone to do it, but not happily, by now it was to late she had already filled her underwear after she was changed she threw the dirty underwear (which by now had a strong odor on the floor and left. Had to find someone who, telunvtsntly picked it up and stormed out of the room
