Truly terrible experience. While my doctor was kind and helpful, the office itself is not functional. They repeatedly forgot to contact my insurance, gave me an incorrect referral, lost my blood work results, and are impossible to get in touch with.
Beginning to end the worst experience with a primary care physician I have ever had. This whole ordeal is over a two month process. 1. The clinic itself is not clean. Dirt and grime everywhere. 2. Doctor required me to have a follow up appointment, instead of just sending me my results. Only had bloodwork done. 3. No platform for telehealth. Instead, the doctor called me on my cell phone. Called 45 minutes later than the appointment. 4. During follow up appointment, it was apparent the doctor forgot she had this scheduled. Didn't have my chart pulled up. She was learning how my bloodwork was as she told me. 45 minutes late, 2 minute phone call, $80. 5. Called four times to receive my results on paper for my records. Each time I was hung up on. Finally went into the hospital. The Howard Med
The visit was the worst experience for a 10 year old young lady seeking medical attention. This place should be shut down, renovated and with all new staff who know how to treat patients seeking medical attention. How do you have a patient wait over an hour for the doctor? How do you have staff say "well you shouldn't expect to be seen at the time of appointment anyway", and the doctor not know she has patients scheduled? Why robocall me to confirm the appointment if you can keep up on your end. I'll never subject my child to this bad experience again. I rated only 1 star because I couldn't rate NO STARS. It deserves to have the Medical Association pay a visit as a mystery shopper. Hmm, that's an idea.
Insurance Update/Walk-in took 30mins to be seen yesterday. Another walk-in was confused why others that came in after her was going ahead of her. I can’t make this up. She said, who decides that you or the doctor? Then said, but I was here first. Ok, so it needed to be explained to her that appointment will go first because they’re scheduled. Let just say the staff is ready and willing to answer you may have and help you fill out forms if needed. The entire staff is great. Love you guys! Keep up the great work!
My visit was traumatizing to say the least. Staff was not knowledgeable, forgot to do routine procedures, 'offices' were unkempt and in disarray, equipment didn't work, young 'doctors' walked around in Howard University t-shirts, only one unisex restroom for physicians and patients, didn't have adequate amount of chairs for the 'waiting room', and equipment was old and weathered. My doctor(Joseph Dubery) couldn't answer basic questions(Google searched for answers to my questions), forgot to write a prescription for high blood pressure medicine that he suggested I desperately needed(Had told me to remind him because he hadn't had a pen or pad to write it down), printed off stacks of resources for me not stapled or paper clipped and said, "See you in two weeks." Not to mention, the EKG that
