Howard Beach Apothecary

The ladies in the back where you do the pickups for the medicine are nice and sweet but the guy who the notary is the opposite. I had two people in front of us meaning my husband and I, a wait of about 10min but when we were next… We told him we were there for notary and he said okay and left. We hear him talking laughing and walking around. Then he goes to the phone, it’s been no lie 25min wait. When it was a 30min wait, I asked one of the ladies how much longer that we been waiting for 30min. She goes to him and he said it in a rude way that he was busy on the phone and if we wanted to we could go do notary somewhere else. I’m Hispanic and to be honest the way he said it I strongly feel his a racist man. Very upset and disappointed of how he treated us.

1/5/2025. Went to get something notarized. After waiting 20mins on line with 2 customers in front of me. The pharmacist ask me I want to get something notarized, I said yes please. He walked away without sayinga word. After waiting another 20mins, we asked how much longer. He's busy laughing on the phone and left me hanging. He said he was too busy. He was rude maybe racist.

What a pleasure to deal with a small neighborhood drug store again. Was going to CVS for a few years prior but the service was going downhill fast. Glad I made the switch back. Friendly and quick service I have once again.

I was dressed well and was in the store no more then a minute before the pharmacist's/owner started shadowing me. Did he think I was there to shoplift? I don't know and I don't care. I had money. I talked to him like a child and showed him my hundreds in cash. With so many pharmacy's within a few blocks I don't need to ever go here again and put up with they're infantile clownish behavior and paranoia. He'll figure it out when he/they grow's up.

So sorry to have to write this review after being a customer with them for 40 years. The pharmacist in their sent us the wrong medication which could have killed one of my family members . They've become rude abusive threatened not to deliver medication i have no choice but to contact the medical board about their pharmacist. I'm appalled of the treatment that I got from them after 40 years we will no longer be using their pharmacy
