Horizon Dental of Prescott Valley

Hands down the best dentist in the area. The entire team from the amazing women at the front desk to the dental assistants and the dentist himself were amazingly kind and sweet. I have anxiety with dental appointments and they made me feel so at ease!! Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a dentist in the area!

Had my first appt today. They had to remove a old filling that broke, and put a new filling in. They were great, they checked my blood pressure, made sure I was ok and comfortable, chatted like a friend. They take my insurance capital blue cross blue shield, they will also make payment arrangements if they're not in network. They made sure I was happy before I left, and told me if there was a problem later I could call and come back in. I'm very happy with them as the new dentist for my wife and I.

Sadly, I will never know if the dentists here are good or bad, since I've been trying to actually get my appointments to happen since December. The first scheduled new patient appointment in January was rescheduled without talking to me to a time and date where I could not attend. I was then given serious attitude when I called 24 hours in advance of the text message to let them know I could not make the new date and time. I rescheduled the appointment for a month later. One week before that appointment I was notified that there wasn't a dentist that day. I called to reschedule, was given attitude again and told I could not be seen until April. I gave up and am going to another dentist office where hopefully I actually can be seen without atittude or rescheduling a week or day before the s

Well, where do I begin. We used to think a lot of Horizon Dental in Prescott Valley, but recently something has changed. After Thanksgiving last year part of my existing crown came off, exposing the back of my tooth. I called for an appt. and the soonest I could get in was a week. Luckily I was not in pain as the tooth was exposed. Then they called back and said my appt. was set up for only a 1/2 hr and that I needed an hour so I got rescheduled. Now it's a week and a half before I get in. Due to the Holidays, which I understand, my crown was to be put in the end of December. I arrived for my crown only to be told they are out of glue. Seriously? Then I am given a new date for the end of January. That is 2 months with a temporary crown! On top of that, they cancelled my 6 mo. c

This practice is very blatant about prioritizing profit over patient care. I have been there twice and had pressure laid on me pretty hard to spend money out of pocket both times for preventive care. When you choose not to they suddenly turn rude and provide poor service. Both times I was there the doctor refused to see me and when I asked the office manager why she said she was going to look into it and call me but never did. There always seems to be way too many people working and everyone is always confused. Very rude staff. I recommend finding a normal practice where the doctor gives you the exam you are entitled to and they don't ask you to spend money out of pocket for a preventive appointment.
