I visited the HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea emergency department on February 14, 2026 for a sore throat and severe ear pain and left feeling shocked, disrespected, and intimidated. While in the waiting room, I witnessed a loud confrontation involving a woman who said she worked there and refused to wear a mask after bringing her mother inside. Security had to intervene, yet she was allowed to remain without a mask while other patients were required to comply. This created an immediate impression of inconsistency and lack of professionalism. During my visit, PA Sean repeatedly pushed for a vaginal swab and other exams that did not appear related to my symptoms. When I questioned the necessity, he and nurse Andrea became dismissive and confrontational. Sean spoke loudly and aggressively, and

Very disappointing experience at this ER for pediatric care. We chose this location specifically because they advertise having a pediatric ER, and when I called ahead they confirmed that they provide pediatric emergency services. However, when we arrived with our very sick 2-year-old, it became clear that there were no pediatric specialists present. The doctor was not a pediatrician and the staff did not appear to have pediatric emergency experience. Even more concerning was the wait. Our child had a very high fever (104°F), but his temperature was not even checked when we arrived. We waited over three hours in the waiting room before being seen, and only then was his temperature measured — at which point the staff were shocked that it was so high. Overall we spent about five hours ther
The staff are all very nice and helpful, but this hospitals layout is a hot mess and the communication for surgery waiting sorely needs an update. Plus the security here is rude. There are no clear signs or directions without asking someone, and desks are set back so you can't see them. If you want to wait with someone before surgery I suggest that you come in with them and never leave because otherwise you'll be waiting around forever even if the patient is done in preop prep. Honestly, if you ever have a choice I would opt for a banner facility.
★★★★★ Outstanding Emergency Care – Credit Where Credit Is Due I was treated today in the emergency room at HonorHealth (90th St & Shea) while experiencing the most severe pain of my life—easily a 12 out of 10. To put that in perspective, I’ve had ACL surgery, rotator cuff surgery, a small skull fracture from a motorcycle accident, a brain scan after a head injury from an e-bike accident in San Diego, third-degree burns as a teenager, hernia surgeries as a teenager, a hamstring pull from playing pickleball, a hematoma from playing softball, a broken finger from playing football in high school, a punctured bursa sac in my knee, a staph infection, and multiple scenarios requiring stitches. This pain surpassed all of it. From the moment I arrived, the team acted immediately. I was brought st
