I called my insurance Geisinger Gold 360 and Geisinger stated that I have Dental coverage of $4,000 yearly fir dental expenses. Then I called Dr. Conklins office. I told the receptionist I had Geisinger Gold 360 Dental Insurance and she made me an appointment. I went to appointment,Dr. Conklin filled my tooth. As I sat in chair in reception area ,I gave receptionist my isurance cards to copy. She came back to me after copying insurance cards and said Id have to pay cash and file with insurance company to get my money back. I dont have $309 to pay bill and requested copy of bill. 15 minutes passed and my Step Van ride showed and I left. No copy of bill,no prescription of Amixicillin, nothing to help me file with my insurance to get them paid. Its what we call a bait and switch!! Illnever go

I would not recommend these dentists. (I noticed that another reviewer said they were dishonest. I'd agree!) I went to one of their dentists with excruciating pain after a tooth extraction (by a periodontist in State College - Dr. Barry Holden) had turned into a serious infection. I had a bone sequestrum in my gum line next to the extracted tooth, which indicates a serious infection called osteomyelitis. The dentist at this facility downplayed my condition after he took an x-ray. Apparently dentists such as the ones at Hometown Dental believe it's more important to cover for errors by other dental practitioners than to help their patients! I'd recommend steering clear of this facility!

My husband and I were in Lock Haven for a family medical issue. Traveling from Virginia when he started to have an issue with a tooth. Called numerous local dental offices trying to get someone to look at the tooth. This is the only practice that was very accommodating.

Wish I could share screen shots of one of their DAs posting on social media that there is no such thing as people having dental issues stemming from medical issues or genetic problems. She claims it's always due to laziness and bad parenting. No doubt she shames patients or trash talks them once they leave! No one should be treated this way!

Definitely bad experience with fillings, I had my fear of feeling the drill and they got mad at me for jerking and don’t seem to care about my anxiety about it not going back!
