Holy Cross Medical Group - Cardiology

I had an extremely unpleasant experience with a staff member named Shirley. I called to make an appointment for an EKG my doctor prescribed. Shirley repeatedly pressed me to explain why I needed it. I mentioned I was at work and unable to go into granular detail over the phone, but she was unwilling to accept that and continued pushing for more information. Her tone quickly became confrontational and condescending, which made the entire call uncomfortable and unprofessional. Patients should be treated with respect and understanding not interrogated when following their physician's instructions This experience left me very disappointed.

I am giving this a one star to raise attention to the STAFF (front desk and nurses). When I call to clarify or understand a question regarding the meds or a procedure, I was yelled at, hung up on, and told 'i do not have time for this'. Unacceptable. Particularly from the nurses who were not only rude, they were cruel and unempathetic to my feelings and concerns. It is critical to get the meds RIGHT after hospitalization. VERY overwhelming to me and my mother, and they should understand that. I would suggest there first comment should be, as I am calling regarding heart critical meds after her recent discharge from the hospital - "How is your mother doing?". The doctors were fine the administration staff are a problem. I asked specific questions about how procedures would be billed to insurance prior to booking them through the office only to get an bill that unacceptable because it was billed as an outpatient service instead of an in-office procedure as I was told it would be. It took 6 phone calls over a period of 2 weeks to have the office manager to contact me and the.tell me nothing could be done. Administration staff is just as important as the doctors. If you can’t trust the answers they provide to questions this is a problem. They failed miserably and for this reason I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I go to this place all the time and I think the staff are very nice and caring
