This hospital is truly a blessing.🙏 I am so impressed by their services that I know I won't be able to contain it in one review. So this will be one of several.😃 Imagine waking up in the middle of the night coughing so hard your head starts pounding and clutching your chest because it hurts.🥺 These were the conditions under which I was forced to go to the hospital, worried😕 that I had some sort of pulmonary problems. I chose Holy Cross Hospital because my son recommended it. I had been to another hospital around 2 years earlier with the same symptoms and after being kept for 3 days, they sent me home with a diagnosis of migraines and 4 medications whose interactions were scarier than the pain 😲. From the moment I walked into this hospital I was at ease 🫠. I was met by a tall, muscular💪🏽 se
First time ever going to the ER since I moved 2 years ago from Dallas. My doodles tooth spliced my finger while playing...What would have been an 8 - 10 hour ER visit in Dallas TX took an hour or so. I was beyond impressed!! The staff was so nice and professional. I have never been treated better at an ER in my life. Im still in disbelief. I heard one patron yelling at the staff. People do NOT know how good they have it here at this ER.. I was seen by a few people all amazing but the ones I can recall was Jude who gathered patient information he was so nice and Connor. Connor was so good. He stitched up my finger and walked me through everything. Based on my first time experience this place a resort lol. Not really a resort but they give u 5-star service like a resort would . Thank you
I had originally gotten a diagnosis from Boca Regional and that was the first time someone actually figured out what was wrong after months of going to different doctors. I was having a thyroid storm, and although I was on medication, a doctor from another primary care decided to switch me and that led me to have another almost thyroid storm, which then brought me to Holy Cross, since it was closer to my home. I don’t remember all the doctor’s names that helped me, but it was mainly the ER and the ICU. Doctor Beach in the ER is kind and helpful. Matt in the ICU was amazing! He made me feel safe and just seemed to really love what he does. Bedside manner makes a world of difference when people are stuck in the hospital. So, thank you! Also to my endocrinologist, Maria. She has been amazing
No hospital post surgery help. I had emergency surgery for a gallbladder removal. The operation went well and the surgeon was excellent. The discharging doctor, Haleem Abdul, ordered a strong antibiotic 2 days later due to an additional bloodwork report. This was in addition to the post-surgery antibiotic. I need to find out why this was ordered and what follow-up is required. I left 4 messages at his office and no response after 3 weeks. I was able to reach the Holy Cross Patient Advocate office, once, and they took the request. 2 weeks have passed and no follow up from Holy Cross. I've left 3 messages for them and still no call back. I may need a follow-up test, or additional care. There is no one who will answer this.
Updated 2026: It has been years, and I still stand by my warning to stay away from Holy Cross Hospital. My mother passed away here, and the experience was devastating due to the total lack of empathy and humanity from the staff. While trying to care for my mother in her final days entirely on my own, I was met with unprofessionalism and blatant homophobia from hospital employees. To face that kind of prejudice during the most painful moment of my life is unforgivable. The facility was consistently understaffed; I even had to bring my mother’s own medication into the rehab unit because the nurses said they were too busy to manage her pain. When I asked about her care, I was told she would stay as long as her insurance would pay. This is a profit-driven institution that lacks the basic dec
