This is the best nursing home in the area! It is small enough that the residents get personalized care and the workers there, genuinely go above and beyond for the people they take care of

I cannot recommend this place. Many shady things happened there to my mom. I didn't realize until it was too late. One nurse , Deb,should not be in the medical profession. Due to her lies, She was responsible for my mom being sent to 3 different psych wards where she ultimately passed in the hospital . if your loved one suffers from dementia do not leave them in the care of Highland View.

Do not place your loved one in this home if they have a high level of need. Our 99 year old mother was very weak, physically, but clear minded, when she entered the home. Staff neglected her. She was expected to feed herself, even though she could barely lift a utensil to her mouth. She reached a point where she had trouble chewing and swallowing. We were told she would be put on a mechanical diet and someone would feed her. It didn't happen. She developed bed sores, one reaching the bone. Unfortunately, we didn't realize the neglect until it was too late. We wanted to move her, but no other homes had a bed. Yes, Mom didn't have a lot of time left in this world, but because of the severe neglect in this home. she left it too soon.

Met Mom in rehab yeserday morning at Highland View, and stayed for lunch too. The staff was friendly, courteous and above all professional in all the dealings we observed. We're thankful that Mom can be such good hands!

Morgan a transit assistant driver was absolutely amazing. She went beyond her means to help my good friends Dad get into the house. This worker needs a bonus on her paycheck. Thank you so much Morgan.
