Hi-School Pharmacy

I wouldn't use this pharmacy if you are on Medicaid. I'm still unsure if the issue was deliberate or not, but I spent a week going back and forth with the pharmacy and my prescriber just to get a Prozac script filled. Ended up going that entire week without my prescription, having to send it to another pharmacy, and seriously considered hospitalization in the process. I don't know if there was just some really unlucky communication breakdown, but I get the suspicion that there was intentional negligence on the pharmacy's part. I've had pharmacists be discriminatory towards me because of my Medicaid status in the past but I've never dealt with a pharmacy outright refuse to fill a script, I think that's what happened, and I'm fairly upset by it. I love this pharmacy! It's small and friendly. The regular pharmacist always remembers my name and pulls my prescriptions before I even get to the counter. Did I mention it's never crowded? I've been having a problem with my prescription insurance, and she found a plan to lower my costs while it is getting sorted out. The only downside of Hi-School Rx is their limited hours.

Had a great call about my medications with the pharmacist nina today. She was super nice and helpful. I called her because my friends get their prescriptions and vaccinations here and always has a pleasant time with nina. My last store I get medications from had such rude staff but my friends were right! Nina is really sweet and knows her stuff. Definitely will get my vaccinations from here.

Almost don't want to share with the world how much I appreciate this pharmacy, lest it become like Walgreens or Rite-Aid... But seriously, they are the best. Sure it would be great if they had an online portal, had a better setup for auto-renew, or their text message alerts specified which prescription is ready, but those are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Excellent service! They even stay on top of your refills. You don’t need to call ahead and ask them to fill them, at least that’s been my experience. Short lines and great pharmacists.
