Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital Emergency Room

I came into the ER because I was experiencing abnormally heavy bleeding during my period and was passing large blood clots. Needless to say, I was terrified. Margaret Keehl was exceptionally kind and compassionate during my emergency room visit. She must have sensed how scared I was because I remember her taking my hand and, with the most gracious genuinity, saying to me: "You're going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay". I was immediately comforted by her sincerity and compassion. Her humane bedside manner and warmth immediately put me at ease. On her calling card, there is a quote about treating each patient as if they were her own family. She definitely lives up to that statement. Thank you Margaret, for making my experience at Henry Ford Providence ER a positive one!

I had an amazing experience at this hospital today. I went into the ER at 6am with difficulty breathing, and they got me back quickly and gave me a breathing treatment right away. Once I was out of urgent danger but still needing observation and assessment of treatment effectiveness, I was moved to the Clinical Decision Unit. What a great option for a trauma hospital! I was in a quiet room with my own bathroom and able to rest and continue receiving treatment, out of the chaos of the ER, and without the hassle of being admitted. I had an amazing nurse named John and a wonderful tech named Ava that took great care of me. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I brought our daughter to the Emergency Room (12/15/25). When we came into the ER, the girl sitting at the desk proceeded to swear with other "Tech" staff calling something "bullshit", and she was being very loud. The emergency room was packed, we finally were triaged after an hour. They brought us to a "Vestibule" which is two chairs (one recliner and one plastic chair) in the middle of the hallway. We sat there from 9:20-2am. It was extremely unprofessional, my husband and I got to hear all about the medics and nurses night out of drinking, taking shots, and riding a party bus, they were laughing very loud and swearing at the ER station. The doctor passed us for over an hour and didn't even realize our daughter was his patient. The doctor was very nice and so was the male

A front receptionist took my name and medical complaint immediately, had me take a seat. About 5 mins later, a second person called me to a room to check my name, insurance, ask me other questions and give me a wristband. She told me to take a seat and said I could complete my check in online on my phone, which she was sending me. I was in an extreme amount of pain, and yet they expect me to do a complete questionnaire on my phone !!??? What was the second person for that I saw?? To send me their questionnaite ? I did not do the check in on the phone. After another 10 minutes they called me back to triage, asked questions, got my vitals, and then put me in an exam room. After about 5 minutes a nurse came to get my vitals again, ask what my problem was. An intern came in, ordered tests.

They are insanely busy in the ER. 88 year old mother came in w breathing difficulty and swelling in legs and feet. Been there 9 hours without treatment. She's diabetic but no one bothered to check her glucose level and no food for 8 hours?! HONESTLY, WE COULD HAVE IGNORED HER OURSELVES AT HOME!
