Helgemo and Liou Pediatrics

My husband and I are grateful for Kristen Vulgamore, APRN. She is extremely educational and always takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, making sure we understand before moving on. We never feel rushed during our visits, and she is very patient with our questions. As new parents, that level of care and reassurance means so much to us. She genuinely cares about our son and about empowering us as parents and it shows in every visit.

Best doctor, and Lisa the medical records lady is the best and fast and efficient. We recently moved away from port Charlotte and I’ll miss this pediatric office!! It’s a busy office, and might have to wait in waiting room for awhile but it’s worth it.

Fantastic docs and nurses - we are new to the area and to this practice but we have had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Helgemo and Liou Pediatrics! My kiddo needed her physical for school and from the front desk ladies to the medical staff everyone is kind and welcoming. Inside is gorgeous with custom murals in each room and peaceful seaside colors in the hallways. We have been in the Turtle Room and Dinosaur Room so far!

Receptionist hung up on me after asking about our vaccine status, we are looking for a pediatrician to help educate us and get our baby on schedule for everything she needs. Not a great first impression, we will continue to look for an office who will treat our family with patience and kindness.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have been patients for 13 years. At our last appointment we saw Emily. I informed Emily that we were moving in a week so this would be my child’s last appointment as long as she doesn’t get sick within that week. I also decided not to further vaccinate at this time with everything that is coming out. I’m not against vaccinations but waiting for now. With zero care for my child, Emily stated that even if my child got sick that they would not see her because we weren’t vaccinating that day which by law I could sue for patient abandonment. I also informed the doctor that following my child’s 3 month vaccines, she stopped babbling. This issue wasn’t even acknowledged. Nothing was said back.
